For many couples, their wedding day doesn’t seem complete without having their dog involved. Whether pups are there to be ring bearers or walk up the aisle with the bride, there are many different parts dogs can play in a wedding day and it’s a growing trend to see them doing so.
With more people choosing to have their four-legged friends at their wedding, the experts at the Dogs Trust are advising people to take extra care of their pets on the day.
“Many owners consider their dogs to be members of the family, so it’s only natural to want to include them in their big day,” Jenna Kiddie, head of Canine Behaviour at Dogs Trust says.
“However, a crowded, noisy environment like a wedding can be confusing and frightening for an animal, so it is important to consider your dog’s welfare throughout the day, to ensure they have as good a time as everyone else.”
