Wedding bells or crickets? Vendors get creative to save industry in Colorado

For Colorado’s wedding industry, May is like a 31-day Black Friday. Caterers, DJs, venue owners, florists and other vendors spring into action after months of planning, turning hotels and event spaces into revolving-door hot spots for thousands of residents and out-of-state travelers.

But waves of postponements — usually of a year or more — have drowned the industry over the last couple of months, forcing vendors to get creative if they want to keep their businesses afloat.
