Weddings are expensive.

According to the wedding planning website The Knot, getting hitched in the U.S. costs about $33,931 – that’s as of 2018 – and of that, about $15,000 goes to paying for the venue.

On Monday, Noah’s Event Venue in Greenville announced on Monday it was closing, for good, as part of a larger bankruptcy action brought against NOAH Corporation, the venue’s parent company described in a separate lawsuit as a “hopeless vortex of insolvency.”
